Now, because of our 'hobby', we've reached the city we never expected that we could.. Tagum! :DThis is our first time to travel in this beautiful city that lived in a simple way of life. This was a funny experience for both of us as we had to get used to everything they have and adjust to it very quick! So much for it, we ate the specialties at YuYu Cafe, the sweet Yema Cake, traveled to their new city hall of Tagum and finally, Christ the King Cathedral. :)Hope that you'll like this video and learn a lot from where we went. The Grand Illusion. There is only one truth. Truth is not subjective. This existence is so complex at times it becomes a real battleground, a mental obstacle course through the multi-faceted layers of emotional, psychological bombardment from media, government and social propaganda, family and ‘friends’. It’s a real challenge to become separate from social conditioning, perceptions, education, brainwashing and finally see the world, this ‘reality’ and the construct of society for what they really are and how they function… and then to be able to let go. Newsnight has learned that the Filipino Nurses UK Association has written to the Chief Nursing Officer, Ruth May, asking for urgent action after figures emerged suggesting around one in 5 of NHS and health care workers who have died are from The Philippines.

This is despite Filipino workers making up less than 2% of the NHs workforce.

Francis Fernando of the Filipino Nurses UK Association, told Newsnight he thinks “Filipino workers are being taken advantage of” and they are afraid that they’ll be reprimanded if they speak out.

Emerging evidence suggests that Covid-19 is having a disproportionate effect on Black Asian and minority ethnic communities in Britain.

Yesterday the NHS announced a risk assessment process for BAME health workers and new guidance was issued, but campaigners believe more urgency is needed.

Warner Bros. Pictures will release a cinematic film version of Bruce Springsteen’s latest album, Western Stars, worldwide, on the big screen. Longtime collaborator Thom Zimny directs together with Springsteen in his directorial debut. The announcement was made today by Toby Emmerich, Chairman Warner Bros. Pictures Group. “Western Stars,” which will make its world premiere at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, is slated for release this fall. However, fans can get an exclusive first look ahead of New Line Cinema’s “Blinded by the Light,” opening in theatres nationwide today.
Springsteen’s first studio album in five years, Western Stars marks a departure for the legendary singer/songwriter while still drawing on his roots. Touching on themes of love and loss, loneliness and family and the inexorable passage of time, the documentary film evokes the American West—both the mythic and the hardscrabble—weaving archival footage and Springsteen’s personal narration with song to tell the story of Western Stars.
“Western Stars” offers fans the world over their only opportunity to see Springsteen perform all 13 songs on the album, backed up by a band and a full orchestra, under the cathedral ceiling of his historic nearly 100-year-old barn.
Emmerich stated, “Bruce lives in the super rarified air of artists who have blazed new and important trails deep into their careers. With ‘Western Stars,’ Bruce is pivoting yet again, taking us with him on an emotional and introspective cinematic journey, looking back and looking ahead. Western Stars, Springsteen’s 19th studio album, has achieved global success. It has also received rave reviews, with critics using words like “hauntingly brilliant,” “beguiling,” “gorgeous” and a “masterpiece.”
Springsteen and Zimny, who together helmed “Western Stars,” have collaborated on several projects over the years, including the documentary “The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town,” and the Netflix filmed version of the Tony Award-winning “Springsteen on Broadway,” which Zimny directed.

The screenplay is by Oscar nominee Peter Straughan (“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”), based on the novel by Donna Tartt, which spent 30 weeks on The New York Times Best Sellers list.

The film also stars Oakes Fegley (“Pete’s Dragon”) as Young Theo, Aneurin Barnard (“Dunkirk”) as Boris, Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things,” “It”) as Young Boris, with Sarah Paulson (“The Post,” “American Crime Story”) as Xandra, Luke Wilson (“The Royal Tenenbaums”) as Larry, and Jeffrey Wright (“The Hunger Games” films) as Hobie. Rounding out the main ensemble cast are Ashleigh Cummings (“Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries”) as Pippa, Willa Fitzgerald (“Little Women”) as Kitsey Barbour, Aimee Laurence (“Chicago P.D.”) as Young Pippa, Denis O’Hare (“American Horror Story”) as Lucius Reeve, and Boyd Gaines (2014’s “Driving Miss Daisy”) as Mr. Barbour.

The behind-the-scenes creative team included Oscar-winning director of photography Roger Deakins (“Blade Runner 2049”), Oscar-nominated production designer K.K. Barrett (“Her”), editor Kelley Dixon (“Breaking Bad”), and costume designer Kasia Walicka Maimone (“Bridge of Spies”). The music is by Trevor Gureckis (“Bloodline”).

Slated for release on September 13, 2019, “The Goldfinch” is a presentation of Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Amazon Studios, a Color Force Production, a John Crowley Film.
